Ruinart Sommelier Challenge 2023

The 8th Ruinart Sommelier Challenge will be based around the theme of the impact of climate change on the Chardonnay grape as the focus of the event.
It will be split into two parts and will begin with an oenological competition. A blind tasting to evaluate the candidates will be based on their description of the wines, the wine pairing and the serving conditions.
After the blind challenge, a Masterclass will provide insight into the impact of global warming on vines and Champagne wines, followed by a technical tasting focusing on the Chardonnay grape. During this Masterclass, sommeliers will be able to discover and taste the Maison's new cuvée for the first time, which will be presented exclusively for them to sample that day.
