Jean Leon, from Hollywood to Penedès: 60 years of a winemaking dream

To celebrate 60 years of Jean Leon, Mireia Torres, managing director of the winery, together with the sommelier Sergi Castro, will conduct an unprecedented tasting of the winery's most iconic wines.
In 1963, Jean Leon, who was born Ceferino Carrión in Santander, had by then become a successful restaurateur in Hollywood and realised his second great dream: to make an exclusive wine to delight his select clientele. That year he founded the winery that bears his name in the heart of the Penedès.
To celebrate these 60 years of its history, Mireia Torres and Sergi Castro will conduct an unprecedented tasting of the winery's most iconic wines. The tasting will tell the story of Jean Leon through its four estate wines, Jean Leon Vinya Gigi Chardonnay, Jean Leon Vinya Palau Merlot, Jean Leon Vinya Le Havre Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva and Jean Leon Vinya La Scala Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva.
